Can You give us some background on your life: i.e. Where you were born, what school did you go to and your employment if any?

I was born at Hallam Hospital, West Bromwich in 1950. I went to St Michael’s Catholic School in West Bromwich and then to St Mary’s Catholic School Wednesbury. I’ve had lots of different jobs the main reason being that I left if I could not get time off for matches!

Who introduced you to Albion?

My uncles Sam & Ben. I used to sit on their shoulders to get a better view

What was your first game?

Spurs at home in 1956, 1-1 draw.

Have you an all time Albion hero and why?

Tony Brown, brilliant goalscorer, but also someone who set up many goals for other players

What are the highpoints and low points of watching Albion?

Seeing us win the Cup final in 68, the play-off final but the Swansea 2nd leg at home is special. Promotion at Oldham, getting to the Premiership and of course ‘The Great Escape’.

All relegations are low points, the worst being the relegation to the 3rd division.

Can you give us a brief history of your time spent on the Supporters Club Committee?

About six years on the committee mainly as an ordinary member but also involved in fund raising

Have you any other interests outside football?

Playing snooker, listening to music, also watching non-league football when we’re not playing.

If there was one thing you could change in football what would it be?

Cut down on the cheats, especially the divers. Also video evidence is a good idea, in particular goal line sensors.
